Bigeta Business PLC has entered into a construction contract with the Ministry of Water and Energy for the Dimeka Town Water Supply Project in Hamer Woreda, South Ethiopia Regional State, with a contract value exceeding 97 million ETB. The project implemented under CRWaSH Program and aims to provide Potable water supply to above 16,361 community
members and their livestock upon completion. The scope of the project includes civil construction, pipeline extensions, and the supply and installation of electromechanical equipment. The project will be executed in accordance with the agreed schedule and quality standards, addressing the community’s urgent need for potable water.
Ambassador Dr. Asfaw Dingamo, State Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, highlighted the project’s significance, particularly in drought-affected areas, remarking that the water supply will also benefit livestock. And the state minister confirmed the Ministry’s commitment to support, facilitating and monitoring the project’s implementation.
Mr. Teshome Tagese, General Manager of Bigeta Business PLC, expressed the company’s commitment to delivering the project with high quality and within the contract deadline, highlighting their successful history of executing and completing projects in collaboration with the Ministry.
The project is expected to be completed within nine months and the engineer supervised by the South Ethiopia Design and Construction Supervision Enterprise.
